Stunning A Level success Poole Grammar School students achieved some stunning results this year with a 99% pass rate and just over 66% A/B grades, (excluding General Studies) with over 50% of pupils achieving three A/B grades or better. 25 subjects had 100% pass rates and the school’s twelve Oxbridge candidates produced some quite outstanding individual paper results. Candidates for other universities also scored some quite stunning results, for example Bristol bound aeronautical engineer David Thomason achieved 6 grade A A levels. Alex Dowding was amongst the top 10 candidates nationally for Religious studies and will be studying Theology and Philosophy at Oxford and Tom Clements was also a top 10 student in Biology and moves onto Bristol to study Medicine.
