Our aims are to foster links between the staff and parents, to help facilitate a sense of community, and to provide support
for the school, whether by raising funds for school equipment and resources or just by making cups of tea and coffee during
parents' evenings.
We are currently working with the school on an exciting new project suggested by the History department which relates to the
new building that is being erected at the front of the school. Plans are going ahead to purchase a 'Time Capsule' which will
contain examples of present day Poole Grammar School life, to be opened in approximately fifty years time. Funds raised from
the school Quiz Night have made this project possible. The 'Tower Task' is an example of a contrasting event that has created
great interest in the school from students and staff alike. This is the name given to the sponsored abseil that took place in
April, and has raised substantial funds towards the purchase of a climbing tower to be erected in the 'Quad'.
As well as our fund raising activities, members also join with the Music Department to form a choir for the annual Carol Service
at St James' Church, and provide refreshments at school events such as the Old Grammarians' Dinner, Drama Department productions
and Music Department concerts.
Information regarding future events is circulated by e-mail, or by our green flyers. All parents, guardians and members of staff
are automatically PSA members and are thus all invited to our brief AGM which is arranged to coincide with the New Parents'
evening.
If you are interested in joining the committee you would be very welcome - please contact us via the
School Office. We also keep a list of 'Willing Helpers' who are able to help on an
occasional basis.
We look forward to welcoming you at one of these events.
