The Sixth Form

The Sixth Form is where we prepare our 300 post-16 students for life beyond school. Each student follows AS/A2 courses in at least three subjects (four in Year 12) - and there are approximately 25 subjects to choose from. Guidance and support is provided throughout this vital transitional stage in a young person's life by a dedicated tutor.

Students from Poole Grammar School leave with the enviable characteristics of self-motivation, self-discipline and a desire to fulfil their potential. Our students become worthy citizens able to contribute to the society in which we live with a sense of duty and care for others. Destinations include all of the major Universities, with a consistently good Oxbridge record, and into the professions and armed services.
